Rumi (1207–1273) was a Persian philosopher, poet, and mystic whose teachings on love, unity, and the search for truth transcend cultures and religions. His works invite people to look inward, embrace compassion, and see the divine in all things.
Rumi’s most famous and widely shared quotes:
“Raise your words, not voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder.”
“What you seek is seeking you.”
“Don’t grieve. Anything you lose comes round in another form.”
“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”
“You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop.”
“Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray.”
“Stop acting so small. You are the universe in ecstatic motion.”
“Be like a tree and let the dead leaves drop.”
“The garden of the world has no limits, except in your mind.”
“When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.”
“Wherever you are, and whatever you do, be in love.”
